1. Service
Platinum Car Rental PLC provides chauffeur-driven vehicle hire only. We do not offer self-drive vehicles under any circumstances. All bookings include a professional, vetted driver.
2. Bookings & quotes
Submitting an enquiry does not create a binding contract. A booking is confirmed only when Platinum issues a written confirmation (email or WhatsApp) referencing the agreed itinerary, vehicle and price. Quotes are valid for 7 days unless stated otherwise.
3. Pricing & payment
Prices are quoted in ETB or USD as agreed. Corporate accounts are invoiced monthly with payment due within 14 days. Ad-hoc bookings require payment before or on completion of the journey unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Cancellation
- More than 24 hours before pickup: no charge.
- Within 24 hours of pickup: 50% of the booking value.
- No-show or cancellation after the chauffeur is dispatched: 100%.
- Multi-day bookings may have bespoke terms set out in the confirmation.
5. Client responsibilities
Clients agree to provide accurate pickup details, treat the vehicle and chauffeur with respect, and refrain from illegal activity. Smoking is not permitted in any Platinum vehicle. Damage caused by the client or their party may be charged.
6. Liability
All vehicles are fully insured for passenger transport under Ethiopian law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Platinum’s liability for any single booking is limited to the value of that booking, except in cases of death or personal injury caused by negligence.
7. Force majeure
Platinum is not liable for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, civil unrest, road closures, weather, or government action.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Addis Ababa.
